Relaxation Massage (Swedish)
Melt stresses away with a relaxation massage. Relaxation massage includes soothing and flowing techniques. Helps to increase circulation and flexibility while easing tension. These techniques are also used to warm up the muscles/tissues prior to deeper work such as those in Deep Tissue.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Slower and stronger/deeper strokes or friction techniques are used. Usually used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive motion strains, postural problems, or recovery from injury, but can be helpful for many other conditions. This technique also includes Trigger Point Therapy.
Myofascial Release (MFR)
Restrictions can also happen within your fascia, the body’s connective tissue that surrounds and supports everything from head to toe. MFR is a manual therapy technique that targets the 3 top layers of fascia to help to release those restrictions by stretching these layers. This technique uses no oil or lotion. Helpful for back pain/strains, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, headaches, plantar fascitis, and others.
Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT):
A positional release technique that focuses on prompting the client’s body to regain its natural balance. It is very gentle, yet as effective as Deep Tissue. Full Body Basic Certified since May 2016.
Reflexology of the Feet
Works with the reflex maps of the feet. Includes a massage of the foot and lower leg/calf. Helps to relieve toe and ankle pain, plantar fasciitis, and common forms of arthritis. Can also help to decrease stress and anxiety in the entire body.
A gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – restrictions are released in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. Helps to provide relief from migraine headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ disorder, hip discomfort, and more.
